Uploads
The current release processes CSV, XLSX, XLS, and TXT files. PDF, ZIP, and image uploads are planned for a future update — do not upload those formats expecting catalog processing at launch.
Individual files can be up to 100 MB each. You can upload up to 500 files per job, and the total combined size must not exceed 1 GB per job.
Yes. Select multiple files in the file picker or use the 'Add More Files' button to build your file list before uploading. All files in a batch share one Job ID.
Uploaded files and job data are stored securely for operational purposes. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us with your Job ID. We recommend downloading your results promptly after processing is complete.
Yes. All uploads are transmitted over HTTPS. Files are stored under randomly generated UUID paths that cannot be guessed. Product data is processed using third-party services as described in our Privacy Policy, including OpenAI for AI enrichment and Razorpay for payments. We do not sell your product data. We also use Google Analytics 4 to collect website usage data, as described in our Privacy Policy.
CSV, XLSX & TXT Files
Your CSV should have a single header row as the first row, with one product per subsequent row. Use recognizable column names such as product name, SKU, price, description, category, and brand. Our normalizer maps common aliases; unclear columns may not extract correctly.
No. The header row is excluded from the product count. Only data rows count toward your estimated products number.
Yes. The product counts from all CSV, XLSX, and TXT files are summed together to produce the total Estimated Products shown before payment.
The first worksheet (Sheet 1) is used. If you have product data on a different sheet, move it to the first sheet before uploading.
Empty rows are automatically excluded from the product count. Only rows with at least one non-empty cell are counted.
Each non-empty line in a TXT file is counted as one product row. TXT files do not use a header row in the product count.
Coming Soon: PDF, ZIP & Images
Not for catalog processing. PDF, ZIP, and image support are planned for a future release. At launch, only CSV, XLSX, XLS, and TXT files are processed into catalog rows.
Image-to-product matching is not available in the current release. When image support launches, we will update this FAQ and the upload page.
Product Counting & Pricing
When you select CSV, XLSX, or TXT files, the app reads the files locally in your browser, counts the non-empty data rows (excluding CSV/XLSX headers), and shows the total as 'Estimated Products' before you upload or pay.
The amount is based on your estimated product count: 1–50 products is ₹99 (Starter), 51–200 products is ₹199 (Growth), 201–500 products is ₹399 (Business), 501–1,000 products is ₹799 (Pro). Catalogs above 1,000 products require a custom quote — contact us at contact@aicatalogbuilder.com.
One-time payment only. You pay per job. There are no subscriptions, monthly fees, or recurring charges.
The estimate is calculated from raw row counts. If your files contain merged cells, formula rows, or metadata rows, the final count after processing may differ slightly.
Jobs above 1,000 products cannot be processed online. Contact us at contact@aicatalogbuilder.com for a custom Enterprise quote handled by Osmoverse India Pvt Ltd.
Job IDs
A Job ID is a unique identifier generated for each upload session. It links your files, payment, and generated catalog together. Always save your Job ID after uploading.
Your Job ID is required for payment verification, support requests, invoice lookups, refund claims, and manual re-delivery requests. Stay on the upload page after payment to track progress and download your CSV when processing completes.
Job IDs cannot be recovered once lost. The system is Job ID-based and does not use user accounts. We strongly recommend copying and saving your Job ID immediately after upload.
Job IDs do not expire on a fixed schedule. The Job ID and associated payment records are retained for legal and billing purposes. You may request deletion of your job data at any time by contacting us with your Job ID.
Payments & Refunds
Payments are processed securely by Razorpay. Supported methods include UPI, credit and debit cards, net banking, and supported wallets through the Razorpay checkout.
Yes. Payment processing is handled entirely by Razorpay. We never store card details on our servers.
Yes. Contact invoice@aicatalogbuilder.com with your Job ID and Payment ID and we will send a GST invoice.
Email refund@aicatalogbuilder.com with your Job ID, Payment ID, and a description of the issue within 7 days of payment. See our Refund Policy for full details.
Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.
Catalog Generation & Delivery
Processing time varies depending on product count and current system load. After payment, track progress on the same page — there are no email notifications at launch.
When processing reaches 100%, click Download Catalog CSV on the same page where you paid. We do not send email notifications at launch. We recommend staying on the page or saving your Job ID in case you need support.
Output is a single enriched CSV file containing your original product fields plus AI-generated columns (ai_product_title, ai_short_description, ai_long_description, ai_meta_title, ai_meta_description, ai_tags). You may need to map columns when importing into your store admin.
The AI generates product titles, short and long descriptions, meta titles, meta descriptions, and comma-separated tags. Your original fields (product_name, sku, price, description, category, brand) are preserved in the download.
Yes. The AI generates short and long product descriptions based on the product data present in your uploaded files. Always review AI-generated copy before publishing.
Yes. Each product receives an AI-generated meta title, meta description, and tags as part of catalog processing.
The output is an enriched CSV, not a platform-specific export file. You can use it with Shopify, WooCommerce, or other systems that accept CSV imports, but you may need to map columns to match your platform's import template.
